H7 LED Conversion bulb kit in 6000K. Update your headlights in pure white color! These bulbs fit into the factory H7 bulb holder just like the original halogen bulbs do, don’t need any form of adjustment to achieve a correct beam pattern in both reflector and projector housings and offer over double the factory rated light output to improve visibility. The 6000K light color is similar to the LED eyebrow on 08-12 9-3 models. See below for instructions to eliminate bulb check warnings.
Instructions for resolving bulb failure warnings and/or hyperflash:
- 9-5 (98-10) models; Remove orange relay from underhood fusebox and remove pin C2 from the relay. This pin communicates bulb failure warnings to the SID for dipped and main beams. This system will stop working after removing pin C2 thus making sure no errors will be displayed because of LED bulbs. All other bulbs (e.g. taillights and brakelights) work on a seperate bulb monitor system that remains fully functional.
- 9-3 (03-05) models; For early 9-3’s aftermarket software for the UEC is required in order to prevent hyperflashing and bulb failure warnings. Software to do this can be had from multiple sources. Email me if help is required.
- 9-3 (06-07) models; For the final two years of pre-facelift generation 9-3 it’s possible to do an SPS update to the UEC (underhood electrical center) that makes the bulb monitor less sensitive. After performing the software update, add the UEC again and change the headlight setting from Halogen to Xenon type II. This will eliminate hyperflash. Both the SPS update and UEC reprogramming should be able to be done by any Saab specialist with a Tech-II, CANdi box and SPS access.
- 9-3 (08-12) models: Using Tech-II re-add the UEC, change only the headlight setting from Halogen to Xenon type II
Note (9-3 only): The Tech-II setting change only affects dipped beam bulbs. Any other bulb in the car will still hyperflash if an LED is installed.
